About the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge:

The PMC is a pioneer in the athletic fundraising event industry and today raises more money for charity than any other in the country. On August 7 and 8, 2010, 5,200 cyclists traveled one of 10 routes, logging between 47 and 190 miles over one or two days, through 46 Massachusetts cities and towns. Their collective goal was to raise more than $31 million for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund and bring the organization's 31-year fundraising total to more than $300 million. For more information about the PMC, call 800-WE-CYCLE or visit www.pmc.org.

About ConvergEx Cyclers:

The ConvergEx Cyclers team was formed in 2007 and is comprised of ConvergEx employees, extended family, friends and colleagues within the financial sector. ConvergEx Group has been a corporate sponsor of the PMC for the past four years. The ConvergEx team is drawn to the PMC each year to further the cause of searching for the cure for cancer. This year, the ConvergEx Cyclers were paired with a 3-year old Pedal Partner, Savannah Polson, who was diagnosed with Acute Lympoblastic Leukemia last August. She receives weekly treatment at the Jimmy Fund Clinic and provided the team with additional motivation for training as they kept up with Savannah's progress. The ConvergEx Cyclers also rode in memory of Eileen Martemucci who passed away from acute leukemia this past year.
